There is a lot that we don’t know about LGBTQ Latter-day Saints. Consider helping us add to what we know! You can add your name to a list to be notified of future study opportunities by researchers at Utah State University by clicking here. Active research projects that are recruiting participants are listed below:
- How do active, LGBTQ+ Latter-day Saints understand LDS doctrines about gender and sexuality? How do (and don’t) they experience belonging in the church? We are conducting hour-long interviews with LGBTQ+ Latter-day Saints who consider themselves active in the church to better understand the answers to these questions. If you are interested in being interviewed, you can let us know through this 5-minute survey. This study is being conducted by Tyler Lefevor (tyler.lefevor@usu.edu)
- How do LGBTQ+ Latter-day Saints navigate their gender, sexuality, and faith over time? We are recruiting LGBTQ+ Latter-day Saints to be part of a 10-year longitudinal study to answer these questions. Participants will answer a 45-minute survey every 2 years. We are particularly interested in recruiting participants who consider themselves to currently be active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are only administering the survey to people who have already participated right now but imagine inviting new participants to join later this year. You can sign up to be notified for the next time that we are, here. This quantitative study is being conducted by Tyler Lefevor (tyler.lefevor@usu.edu).
